How to check MSP Eligibility

This article describes how you can validate the patient's Personal Health Number

At this time, you can check the patients' MSP Eligibility directly in your Dr. Bill account. In order to do that, please follow the steps below:

1. Log into your Dr. Bill account and navigate to the Patients tab on the left:

2. Enter the name or PHN of the patient into the search field and click Search:

3. Once you see the patient in question, you can use the Check Eligibility button:

Once you click on the "Check Eligibility" button, the patient's Last Name, First Name, and Gender fields will be verified and the eligibility information will pop-up based on a live connection with the database of 3rd party organizations such as hospitals, clinics, Ministry of Transportation, etc.

Please note: The information retrieved is not from the MSP database. Therefore, the information may not be updated. In the situation where a patient has a Middle Name, it may mix up with the patient's First/Last name. Please check the patient record you have and contact the patient to verify if necessary.
