Signing Up for Dr. Bill

This article will go over the sign-up process for Dr. Bill

If you are BC user, and signing up for Dr. Bill, this article will provide you with the following:

  • Instructions on how to sign up for Dr. Bill's billing platform that is integrated with Arya

  • Information needed if your clinic uses a joint bank account for remittance

  • If an MOA or other staff member bill on a physicians behalf

Signing Up for Dr. Bill

In order to have billing integrated with Arya, you will need to sign up for an account with Dr. Bill. By selecting the button below, you can start the sign up process.

When signing up for Dr. Bill, you will be signing up under their Essentials Plan. This plan will include the following:

  • Unlimited Claims

  • Patient Sticker Automation

  • In-app Code Recommendations

  • Detailed Reporting

  • Billing Knowledge Library

  • Access to Billing Experts

Below you will find the steps to sign up for Dr. Bill.

Create your Dr. Bill Login

The sign up process will have you input your first name, last name, email address, and a password.

Agree to the Terms and Conditions

Once you have inputted the above fields, you can select Continue. The Dr. Bill Terms and Conditions will appear for you to go through. A checkbox near the bottom will need to be checked off to confirm that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions with Dr. Bill. Once this has been checked off you can select Create Account.

Confirm and Verify your Email Address

Once you have selected Create Account, an email will be sent to the email address you inputted when creating your account. You can select the Verify Email button or input the code provided in the email.

Once you have verified your email you will be prompted to the next step in the sign-up process.

Final Details for Creating an Account

When you are on the final step in creating your Dr. Bill account, you can indicate which province you wish to bill in. You can also select if you will be uploading you patient panel to MSP through Dr. Bill during the sign-up process.

Final Details for your Account

There will be four fields at the bottom for you to fill out.

  • What best describes you?

  • Your specialty

  • Your practitioner number

  • Your phone number

Please fill out these four fields with the necessary and correct information in order for your claims in Arya to successfully go through to be submitted to MSP.

Once you have filled the required fields and your practitioner number, you can select Go To Dashboard to finish creating your account.

❗IMPORTANT: For physicians that want to submit to MSP, the practitioner number field MUST be filled in. If a practitioner number is not inputted, Dr. Bill won't be able to submit your claims to MSP for payment as no billing number is included in your account.

Clinic Joint Bank Account

For clinics who have multiple physicians and one joint bank account for remittance, billing must be set up 30 days prior to your clinic's Go Live date.

Dr. Bill requires 30 days to integrate all accounts to each other so remittance is paid out to one bank account. The physicians need to set up the individual accounts with unique email addresses as they need to accept the terms and conditions when setting up an account.

Dr. Bill requires a teleplan form to connect the lead payee number to their data center. For example, the doctors have all assigned their payments to the payee number 12345. Dr. Bill will need a teleplan form to connect the payee number 12345 to their data center filled out by the physician whom this number belongs to. You can send forms to our Arya point-of-contact with any additional information needed for setting up a lead payee for the clinic.

Staff Member(s) Billing on Behalf of Other Physicians

For clinics who have a billing clerk or physicians do not do their own billing, billing must be set up 30 days prior to your clinic's Go Live date.

Dr. Bill requires 30 days and a delegation form signed to provide access to a user other than the physician to bill on their behalf. The physicians need to set up their individual accounts with unique email addresses as they need to accept the terms and conditions when setting up an account.

The delegation form needs to be filled out for each physician that wishes to delegate billing to a different user. This delegation form will allow other users to bill on behalf of someone else and give the user access to their account and the patient information. One delegation form will be required for each physician account for each user that will be billing on their behalf. For example, if there are two MOAs billing on each physicians accounts then there needs to be one delegation form for each MOA for each account they are billing for.

You can send the delegation form to your Arya point-of-contact with any additional information needed for setting up delegation for your clinic.

In Arya, the user that will be billing on behalf of a physician will need to integrate with Dr. Bill the same way the physician does which can be found under Billing Info within Edit My Profile.
