📣What's New and Improved?

Integration with BC’s Interior Health Authority

Arya has successfully integrated with British Columbia's Interior Health Authority. This allows clinics within BC’s interior to receive automatically generated results through Interior Health into their Arya clinics.

Notes Engine: Draw Box Placeholder - Ability to Draw on an Image in a Note

Users now have the ability to draw on a note template within the patient’s chart. The Notes Engine section of your clinic offers a placeholder that allows you to insert a draw box that can be placed in front of an image uploaded in the notes engine. Check out this article for more details.

Message: Ability to Automatically Notify Patients About Results

Global Results now includes the “Message” button wish allows you to type in messages and send them to the patient’s email. You can also favourite the message to re-use it later. Also, you can add a fee code to the message that will automatically add a bill to the patient’s billing as a new claim.

Global Referrals: Homepage Count Update

Previously, the non-clinical users in Arya could see the number of all incoming Referrals for their clinic on the homepage. The counter included Referrals in all statuses and the number could not be reduced. Now, the Completed status is not included into the counter for non-clinical users, so once the referral has been moved to Completed, the number on the homepage reflects this change.

The All Active statuses include: Pending Triage, Approved, Rejected and Waitlist.

AI Scribe & Dictate: New Commands and Templates

Arya's Dictate feature now includes additional supported commands:

  • To add new line: 'new line', 'line break'

  • To add new paragraph: 'new paragraph'

  • To add a dot: 'dot', 'period', 'full stop'

  • To add a comma: 'comma'

AI Scribe has more available template options: General Medicine (with a single section for both Assessment and Plan), General Well Child Care, SOAP Well Child Care, General Medicine Emergency, SOAP Emergency.

TASKS - Sorting Default is Due Date Ascending

Tasks used to be sorted by task creation date by default. Now, in both Global and Patient Tasks, the default sorting is by Due Date to show the tasks in Ascending Order. That way overdue tasks will always appear first.

'Appointment Changed' Notification Email Update

Arya's system used to send the ‘appointment changed’ notification to the patient if the End Time of the appointment was changed. However, the email only included the Start time of the appointment, and not the End time, which resulted in confusion for the patients.

Now, if the only thing changed for the appointment is the End Time, the email notification is not sent out. If the Start Time is changed, however, the patient will still receive the email.

Medical subfield addition of 'Psychotherapist'

Within profile settings there is a dropdown list of medical subfields users can select. The new subfield of Medical Psychotherapist has been added into the drop-down.

🛠️ What is Fixed

Patient portal (PHR): Questionnaires can be submitted without required fields

Previously, when questionnaires were shared with a patient, they could be submitted back to the clinic without all of the required questions answered. Now, questionnaires can only be submitted when all required questions are answered and patients encounter an error if they try to submit beforehand.

Patient portal (PHR): Likert scale requires a double-click to select

The Likert Scale questions in questionnaires would require patients to double-click the desired option for it to be checked off. Now, the option can be selected with a single click.

Results: Clinical users are defaulted to their results

When clinical users navigated to the Results tab in a patients chart, the user filter on the left was defaulting to this specific clinical user. Now, both clinical and non-clinical users default to all users view when navigating to the patient results.

Referrals - Long labels unable to be deleted

In Global Referrals, the long labels used to get cut off so that users couldn't see the full label, which resulted in the options to favourite and delete the label being not shown. This has been fixed, so the long labels no longer cut off the delete and favourite options.

Global Results: Title deleting letters when typing

When in global results and editing the information through the side panel, users have experienced the title field deleting letters as they tried to type them. Now, each title added saves immediately and doesn’t remove any letters when typing.

Profile: Status Disappearing when Referring/Family Physician Added

When in a patient’s chart, users would set the status as Active, then go to add a Referring or Family Physician. As soon as the physician was selected from the list, the status disappeared. Now the status stays assigned to the patient after adding the physician.
