Once you sign off on a patient note, your ability to edit it becomes very limited to keep the medical note accurate and reliable. This article explains what you can and cannot do after signing off on a patient note.
What You Cannot Edit
After you sign off on a patient note:
Content: You can no longer make changes to the text, details, or any clinical information contained within the body of the note. This is to keep the medical records accurate and trustworthy.
Attachments: Any files, images, or other attachments included in the note cannot be altered or removed.
What You Can Edit
Even after signing off, you still have limited editing capabilities:
Title: You may edit the title of the patient note. This can be helpful for correcting errors or making the title more descriptive for easier future reference.
Comments: You can add comments to the note. Comments serve as a useful tool for providing additional context, updates, or clarifications without altering the original signed-off content. This can include follow-up observations, responses to questions, or supplementary information.
📖Note: Pressing on the i icon will allow you to change Title and add Comments.
