AI Assist - Referrals

The AI Assist feature in Referrals helps you quickly populate a patient’s Profile section by scanning the referral document and automatically extracting key clinical information.

How It Works

  1. Open the referral document in Global Referrals.

  2. Click the AiAssist button.

  3. The system scans the referral. You might see the 'Waiting For Data' message in the Profile panel:

  4. Any newly identified items are automatically added to the Profile section in the right-side panel.

The extracted items will appear in edit mode, allowing you to review and adjust them immediately. You can remove entries using the red delete icons next to each line.

If everything looks accurate, you can simply move on to the next referral. There’s no need to click Done, changes are saved automatically.

Important Note: The tool scans only the first 3 pages of the referral document. If patient profile information appears later in the document, we recommend splitting the referral in the eFax Inbox first before using AI Assist.

AI Assist is powered by artificial intelligence and is designed to support your workflow, but it is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.

We strongly recommend reviewing all populated information before proceeding to ensure:

  • Accuracy

  • Completeness

  • No duplicate or incorrect entries

This helps prevent documentation errors and ensures the patient chart remains reliable.
